2010 President of TGSA UCR Election

We need You! A leader with passion and willing to do everything for the TGSA UCR! 

Rules Governing Elections and Nominees: 
1) Only TGSA members in good standing are eligible to hold TGSA president position 
2) Only TGSA members in good standing are eligible to act as a first or second nominator for a nominee 
3) All members of the TGSA may vote in the election 
4) No individual may nominate or second him/herself 
5) No individual may be elected to consecutive terms for the President of TGSA unless there are no other candidates for the position 
6)Candidates will deliver the 5 minutes politics speech to all members in the TGSA Annual Spring Gala (The 2010 TGSA Annual Spring Gala will be held on Feb 25, 2010 1800-2100, the politics speech will start at 1930 ), please prepare the power point Slide in advance. 
7) All elected President terms are from May 1 of the election year through Apr 30 of the following year.

UCR TGSA Spring BBQ on May 9,2009 has been postponed because of swine flu.
 
The current World Health Organization phase of pandemic alert  is level 5.

Five cases of H1N1 flu have confirmed in Imperial County.
CDC confirmed a total of 26 flu cases in California; exact locations for many were not available.
Please check the CDC website http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/  for detail information.

We are sorry to postpone the spring BBQ event in order to avoid the infection of A/H1N1.
We will host the event after the flu threat goes away in the near future.
